Hi, I'm Genna Blackburn.
You want to make lots of art, love the art you are making, and find your unique creative voice. If you could overcome any self-doubt or uncertainty about your abilities and your signature style so that you are making the art that only you can make — how would that feel?
I can help, because I've been there. With the strategies I figured out, I went from being overwhelmed and self-critical to:
- making tons of art and developing my signature style
- signing licensing contracts with some of my dream clients 🤯
- becoming a Skillshare Top Teacher
- 10x my Instagram following
- being represented by a top, world-wide illustration agency
Once I overcame the barriers to making lots of art and finding my signature style, I became lighter, happier, more prolific, and more successful. And I want that for you as well — you deserve to feel creative and confident, and to experience the beauty of having art flow out of you. Let me show you how.
I just love everything about drawing with Genna. It's nice and refreshing, and sooooo good for my heart and soul. I've been uninspired for a while but great things happen when you're not afraid to make bad art. — Madeline Wong
Making art wasn't always easy (or enjoyable) for me.
I have always been drawn to art, but it didn't come easily. And I thought that meant I wasn't supposed to be an artist. I kept thinking I should pursue something else, something that wasn't so hard. But I felt pulled to it and couldn't ignore that feeling.
I struggled with many barriers to creating art and finding my signature style.
Do any of these sound like you?
That's why I created
Drawn to Art
This immersive 5-week program will help you:
- Love more of the art you are making.
- Make the art that only you can make.
- Analyze your own work so you can enhance your unique creative voice.
- Learn how to use color to make work that is cohesive and attracts people to your art.
- Develop a signature style that will allow you to make more art than ever before, and build an audience of raving fans.
The 3 Pillars of Drawn to Art
The Drawn to Art program is built on three powerful pillars that lead to making art you love and developing a unique creative voice.
Mindset
Learning to listen to your creative intuition, making more art that you love, and developing your voice comes from how you think about your creativity and your art. Once I unlocked this pillar, the flood gates came crashing open and I started making more art that I loved than ever before. And I can save you years from learning this on your own. You will overcome the obstacles that keep most artists from coming into their full potential.
Skills
The second pillar to making art that is as good as you imagine it can be is foundational skills and principles. You may have already learned some of this in school but you haven't learned it like this. We're going to talk about the power of color to transform your work and define your style, how to build up your visual mind library so you can draw your personal motifs from memory, and what to do when you create something that you don't love.
Style
After mindset and skills, we are going to explore your unique creative voice. You'll learn how to analyze your work so you can lean into what's working, what's unique to you, and define your signature style. And the community and support team will be there to help you analyze and critique your work and cheer you on! Sometimes just one small piece of feedback from someone with fresh eyes can make everything come into powerful focus!
"I love Genna's teaching style. She breaks everything down so that even a beginner like myself can easily follow along, understand and retain what she's teaching. Genna's positive attitude encourages me to want to keep going and expand on my art career. I'm so excited to keep learning from Genna!"
— Annie Davis
